O’Sullivan Macfarlane Environmental Consulting are Environmental Consultants based in Northern Ireland, Belfast. Our company specialises in Contaminated Land Assessment, Flood Risk Assessment, Drainage Assessment and Waste Management.
Based in Mallusk, our environmental consultants work across Northern Ireland on a wide range of developments and industrial sites. Our expert team of environmental consultants combine a number of specialisms and over 30 years of industry experience in both local planning and regulatory work. This includes time spent at NIEA (Northern Ireland’s Environmental Regulatory body). This experience gives us a unique ability to navigate the planning system efficiently. Across the UK, ROI and Northern Ireland, environmental consultants from OSM are trusted to produce accurate, science-based results for clients of all scales and requirements.
Our team of professional Environmental Consultants are members of both the Institute of Environmental Science (IES) and the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM). Membership of professional bodies allows our staff to continually engage with research to stay at the forefront of professional practices. Our Environmental Consultants also work across the UK and Ireland, focussing in particular on Contaminated Land, Flood Risk Assessment, Drainage Assessment and Waste Management. We provide in-house technical expertise in all these areas.

Since 2016, OSM has taken a director-led approach, with Directors and Senior Environmental Consultants Micheál O’Sullivan (BSc MCIWM) and Frank Macfarlane (BSc MSc MIEnvSc) leading all stages of projects, from field work to final reports.
