Graduate Environmental Consultant – Contaminated Land

Salary Range – TBC

OSM Environmental Consulting are seeking a Graduate Environmental Consultant to work within the Contaminated Land team on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding environmental consultancy based in Belfast. This is chance to for a graduate consultant to join an existing team of contaminated land scientists working on a range of projects.

The ideal candidate will have the following;

  • An honours degree in geography / environmental science / environmental studies or similar. A first-class honours degree is preferable;
  • Good IT skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft word and excel;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • A positive approach to learning new skills;
  • Have an interest in both fieldwork and office-based work;
  • Able to work well in a team and delegate work when required;
  • The role will require the successful candidate to work at our office and across a number of sites in Northern Ireland. It is therefore required that the candidate will require a full driving licence.

Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant – Contaminated Land

Salary Range – £30,000 – £35,000 per year

O’Sullivan Macfarlane Environmental Consulting are seeking a senior Geo-environmental Consultant to join our busy team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding environmental consultancy based in Belfast. This is chance to for an experienced consultant to join an existing team of contaminated land scientists working on a range of projects. Even within these difficult times, OSM have had an increased workload due to the range of project work we have and consequently the need for an experienced Contaminated Land Consultant to join the team in their Belfast Office.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience working on similar projects in a consultancy or contractor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team and organisation that is involved in interesting projects and will invest in your own personal development.

The successful candidate should have a science-based degree and solid experience of project managing contaminated land investigations.

Applications from strong project managers would be encouraged, in addition to those with a minimum 4-5 years’ experience within the industry. Your experience will be from a commercial environment, with previous experience within a consultancy or a contractor desirable.

This opportunity will give the right candidate a true opportunity to project manage through the whole project lifecycle and give you ownership and the satisfaction of seeing project through from the initial stages through to remediation validation.

The role will require the successful candidate to carry out Phase 1 and 2 site investigations, Remediation Strategies, Validation Reports and Waste Classification Assessments across a number of sites across Northern Ireland. It is therefore required that the candidate will require a full driving licence.

Flood Risk Assessment Scientist / Flood Hydrologist

O’Sullivan Macfarlane Environmental Consulting is currently seeking an experienced Flood Engineer / Flood Hydrologist for range of projects across the UK and Ireland.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the the scoping of assessments, use of computer modelling software (e.g HEC RAS, FEH, ReFH, Flood Modeller) and the production of scientific / engineering reports.

The desired candidate will have between 2 – 10 years relevant professional experience in a similar role (ideally in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland).

Salary for this post ranges between £23 – 35k per annum depending on experience.
